AquaTheater Oasis of the Seas, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines

Oasis of the Seas is largest cruise ship ever built to date, recently launched in December 2009.   Wilson Butler Architects designed many entertainment venues onboard Oasis. However, its premiere extravaganza is AquaTheater.  WBA created an enormous outdoor theater where live high-dive shows featuring flying acrobats, synchronized swimming, water gymnastics and water-lit shows perform for an audience of 700 at sea. Passengers are dazzled after

experiencing an AquaTheater performance with the ocean as a backdrop under an evening sky.  During the day passengers have a chance to swim in the Theater’s pool or take SCUBA lessons.  This spectacular venue is passenger accessible from Decks 5 and 6 (Boardwalk) of Oasis. Private AquaTheater views are also available via private balconies.

In addition to AquaTheater, WBA designed Studio B, Blaze, On Air Media Bar and Dazzles – all entertainment venues.

The sister ship to Oasis of the Seas, Allure, is scheduled to launch in November 2010.
