Robert C. Levash, AIA, has been promoted to principal
Robert has more than 15 years of experience with expertise in a broad range of projects, including educational facilities, galleries, theaters and performing arts centers. Most recently, he completed work on the Worcester Pop-Up Gallery, a collaboration between the Worcester Cultural Coalition, the Hanover Theater and the Worcester Business Development Corporation to bring creativity to life through rotating art exhibitions in downtown Worcester, Massachusetts. “I’m honored to be part of the promoted group of individuals that are the Principals at Wilson Butler Architects. I’m excited to build upon the design excellence, diversity, and innovation of our practice.”
Robert is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Boston Society of Architects (BSA). He holds a Master of Architecture from Northeastern University (2004) and a Bachelor of Architecture from Northeastern University (2003).
Ben Marcionek, LEED AP, has been promoted to principal
Ben has 14 years of design and project management experience across a multitude of project types. His most notable projects include the award-winning Huizenga Pavilion at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts and overseeing the master planning and design of some of the most iconic spaces on Celebrity Edge, the first in a new class of luxury cruise ships. “Over the last 12 years, I’ve seen WBA grow in so many ways while still staying true to our core values. The people here are truly our greatest asset and I look forward to many more exciting years of working with such a fine group of individuals, consultants, and clients. I’m honored for the opportunity to help shape our future and continue to build spaces that can be enjoyed for generations to come.”
Ben is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts – Architectural Design from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst (2004).
Rebecca Durante, NCIDQ, IIDA, LEED AP, has been promoted to principal
Rebecca has more than 10 years of experience and leads the Interior Design Studio. Her leadership has resulted in a core group of talented interior designers who participate in a growing number of the firm’s projects. Among her most notable projects are the Altria Theater in Richmond, Virginia and the Merrimack Repertory Theatre in Lowell, Massachusetts. “Beginning this new chapter, it is my hope to be able to positively influence our culture, designs, and environment within the office and through projects that improve the lives and experiences of everyone they touch. I am very excited to join this talented and driven group of directors and principals at WBA.”
Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts – Interior Design, from the New England School of Art and Design at Suffolk University (2007). She is a Certified Interior Designer, a Registered Interior Designer in Massachusetts, and holds professional status with International Interior Designers Association (IIDA).
Paul Vaivoda, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, has been promoted to principal
With more than 30 years of experience, Paul has practiced within a number of markets, with special emphasis on the arts and higher education student life. At WBA, he has played key roles in several of the firm’s most recent higher education projects, including Auburn University’s Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center in Alabama and the Tyler Hall Choral Practice Room at the State University of New York, Oswego. “Wilson Butler Architects has a 20- plus year history of innovative architectural design, deep knowledge in the fields of arts and entertainment, together with a relentless focus on client satisfaction. I am proud and honored to become a principal at what is a truly remarkable firm.”
Paul is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Boston Society of Architects (BSA), the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) and the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP). He holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania (1985) and a Bachelor of Environmental Design from the University of Colorado (1983).
