Tell us a little bit about your background. (Where you grew up, hobbies, where you went/go to school…)
I am a third-year undergraduate student at Northeastern University pursuing a degree in Architecture. I was born in Boston but spent most of my childhood in Seattle. Outside of work I enjoy photography, travel, hiking, and reading.
What made you want to study architecture and design?
I started at Northeastern as an undeclared engineering major based on my interest in STEM courses in high school. I soon realized that I wanted to do something much more creative and found that architecture was the perfect combination of all my interests.
What do you hope to gain from interning with WBA?
I hope to improve my graphic design skills and knowledge of Adobe applications. I also look forward to learning about the process of finding and researching potential project opportunities and helping to create RFPs. Finally, I’m excited to experience working at a firm for the first time and getting to know everyone at WBA.
Why did you choose to work at WBA?
What first interested me about WBA were the performing arts and historic preservation projects as I have recently become very interested in historic preservation and adaptive reuse. After interviewing with Maria and Paul I got the sense that the firm culture was exactly what I was looking for: a small group of dedicated, talented, and fun people who are very passionate about their work.
