A Big Welcome to Allan Mugabi, our 2021 Summer Co-op from Boston Architectural College.

May 25, 2021

I grew up in Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. My hobbies include photography, movies, and baking scones. I did my undergraduate degree from Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania and I'm currently pursuing a master's degree at Boston Architectural College.

Please Allan, tell us a little bit about your background, (where you grew up, hobbies, where you went/go to school…)

I grew up in Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. My hobbies include photography, movies, and baking scones. I did my undergraduate degree from Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania and I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree at Boston Architectural College.

What made you want to study architecture and design?

I wanted to study architecture and design because I’m fascinated with design as a story-telling tool. Good design tells a story and positively impacts those around it.

Why did you choose to work at WBA?

I chose to work at WBA because I love their work and office culture. Everyone is professional, friendly, and supportive.

What do you hope to gain from interning at WBA?

With the internship, I hope to become a better storyteller.

What has been your favorite moment at WBA so far?

So far, my favorite moment was WBA’s 24th anniversary. I got to meet the whole team and learn about the history of the firm.
