Doreen Dubé

Senior Associate | Financial Manager
Architecture is inhabited sculpture – Constantin Brancusi

Only an artist can appreciate the finery of numbers, and we are lucky to have that most impossible-to-find mix. Doreen came to us in 1999, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking from Massachusetts College of Arts and a mind for numbers and detail. Who better to manage the finances of an architectural firm?

As a longtime Boston resident, Doreen knows the ins and outs of our city as well as our beloved local projects. Doreen appreciates what brings zest to and meaning to life – art, food, travel, friends and family. With a signature laugh and a matching quick wit that is hard to emulate, but easy to admire, she is a spark that ignites the office. What other firm can say that about their Financial Manager?

Gillian Cable-Murphy

Senior Associate | Administration Manager | PHR
The present is a gift often overlooked.

Gill joined WBA almost a decade ago, starting with accounting and later taking on human resources, benefits, and physical plant. A Gill-of-all-trades, she keeps us functioning at the highest standard, allowing us to focus on our clients by supporting our staff’s needs with style and grace. It is clear why she was made an Associate, she is the foundation upon which we flourish. Gill provides a “calming voice of reason,” often presenting the balanced alternative point of view that helps us see the issues, challenges, and solutions from another angle. Time with her family as well as time at the gym taking classes (such as spinning, tabata, and weights) helps her achieve this balance.

Receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University Extension School taught Gill, among other things, how to balance multiple schedules and deadlines, something very useful around our office. It also showed her the path to wonderful literature, a pastime still very much enjoyed. Though on the recommendation of a friend, she’ll read just about anything, literature or pulp.
